Software Engineer

UltraLinq Healthcare Solutions is looking for a bright and motivated software engineer to join our team. We are dedicated to enabling medical professionals to manage their images, reports, and other associated data easily and cost-effectively. 

We’re looking for someone with 0-5 years experience in developing web applications in a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) environment that also has significant experience with C++.  Experience with video or imaging is desirable, as is experience with developing Windows desktop applications using Qt.

The person we’re looking for has strong software engineering values and skills, works well as part of a small team, communicates very well and has a passion for building high quality products.

Requirements:

• BSEE in Computer Science or equivalent experience and knowledge


• Strong desire to solve real customer problems


• Working knowledge of SQL


• Working knowledge of HTML, web application architecture and implementation


• Working knowledge of C++


• Strong communication skills, both spoken and written


• Strong software engineering principles and values


• Legal right to work in the US

Pluses:

• Working knowledge of application development using Qt


• Knowledge of common image processing techniques


• Knowledge of the DICOM format


• Knowledge of video formats


• Experience using QuickTime to convert/encode video


• Knowledge of medical imaging techniques such as ultrasound, X-ray, MRI, CT, PET, SPECT, etc.


• Experience developing projects using a source code management system, particularly Subversion
